IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Warm
up by chatting with the class using previously learned
vocabulary, phrases, and structures.
- Briefly
go over the Lesson 3 objectives. To orient your students
to the lesson theme, have them explain what's going on
in the lesson opener photograph.
- Present
the Contextos vocabulary. Point out and discuss
the information contained in Variación léxica
and the ¡LENGUA VIVA! note.
- Using
the Student Cassette/CD, work through Práctica
activity 1 with the class.
- Go
over Práctica activities 2 and 3, which
the students prepared as homework for this class session.
- If
time permits, work through Práctica activity
5 with the class. Then have your students do Comunicación
activities 5 and 6 in pairs.
- Preview
the Fotonovela.
ASSIGNMENT
- Have
your students read the Fotonovela and prepare a
brief plot summary for the next class session.
- Have
your students familiarize themselves with the Expresiones
útiles.
- Have
your students prepare one or more of the Reacciona
a la fotonovela activities so you can go over them
orally during the next class session.
- As
an ongoing project, have your students read this lesson's
Panorama section. Tell them that they will turn
in their written answers to the ¿Qué
aprendiste? activity on test day.
