These sample lesson plans have been designed for a quarter system course that has 10 teaching weeks each quarter and five contact hours per week, for a total of 50 contact hours per quarter. The lesson plans presented here are not prescriptive. You should feel free to present lesson materials as you see fit, tailoring them to your own teaching preferences and to your students' learning styles.
The sample plans for Lecciones 1-2 refer frequently to the
annotations which appear in the side and bottom panels of the
Instructor's Annotated Edition. When planning lessons, you may
find it helpful to glance at this valuable instructional resource,
which contains a wealth of ideas about how to preview and present
vocabulary and grammar topics; present the video in class; modify
and expand activities; and encourage learning through cooperative
work, games, and specialized activities for heritage speakers.
NOTE:
PANORAMA uses a flexible lesson organization
designed to meet the needs of diverse teaching styles, institutions,
and instructional goals. Below you will find some sample course
plans that illustrate how PANORAMA can be used
in a variety of academic situations. The Estructura
section of the textbook is clear and comprehensive. Because
many of our professors asked about additional materials to teach
specific grammar points, Vistas Higher Learning created supplements
in the same graphic-intensive format of the textbook that cover
both the 'Future' and the 'Conditional'. If you would like access
to those materials, please contact your Vista Higher Learning
Sales Representative and request the following:
Material suplementario: The Future (student
