IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Review Expresiones útiles by
asking students questions using the expressions.
- Work through the Práctica
activities for Estructura 5.1 with the class.
- Do the Comunicación activities
for Estructura 5.1 with the class. Students will work in pairs for
activity 4.
- Work through the Práctica
activities for Estructura 5.2 with the class.
- Do Comunicación activity 4 for
Estructura 5.2 with the class. Follow the anno in the IAE to expand the
activity. Put students in pairs for activities 5 and 6. Remind them of the
spelling changes for –car and –gar verbs (see anno in
the IAE).
- Present the painting and quote on the
Lecturas section opener. Ask students how the quote can be applied to the
picture. Use the suggestions found in Additional Teaching Suggestions for
Lecturas in the Instructor’s Resource Manual to direct/expand the
discussion. Ask students how the quote and picture tie into the lesson theme,
La salud y el
bienestar.
ASSIGNMENT

- Study the Vocabulario for

- Read Biografía.
- Decide on the speaker’s attitude toward
each command (Análisis literario) and compare your own attitudes

- Continue preparing the activities for
Exploración from the FACETAS web site, to be submitted
electronically before class on Day
