IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Review the quiz for Lección
2.
- Present the Contextos paragraphs (pp.
84–85), having various students read the paragraphs aloud and checking
comprehension using the suggestions in the annotations in the Instructor’s
Annotated Edition.
- Present the vocabulary list (p. 85), modeling
the Spanish words and expressions.
- Do the Práctica activities for
Contextos (p. 86) with the class.
- Put students in groups of three and have them
complete Comunicación activity 4 for Contextos (p.
87).
- Have students complete
Comunicación activities 5 and 6 for Contextos (p. 87) in
pairs. For activity 6, have students prepare a dialog with their
companion.
- Preview Fotonovela and
Expresiones útiles (pp.
88–89).
ASSIGNMENT
- Study the lesson vocabulary (pp.
84–85). Select 10 vocabulary words and create Spanish definitions for
them.
- Read Fotonovela (pp. 88–89) and
watch the video episode on the FACETAS CD-ROM.
- Listen to and read the
Exploración section on the FACETAS CD-ROM. Answer the
comprehension questions. Prepare the corresponding activities on the
FACETAS web site, to be submitted electronically before class on Day
5.
