IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Present the profile on Shakira and do the
Conexión personal questions (p. 77) in Antes de leer with
the class. Ask students which type of music they associate with each of the
photographs (p. 77). Work through the Contexto cultural activity (p. 77)
in Antes de leer with the class.
- Ask students to tell you about Shakira and
her career.
- Work through Después de leer
activities 1, 2 and 3 for Perfil: Shakira (p. 80) with the class.
- Put students in pairs and have them prepare
Después de leer activity 4 for Perfil: Shakira (p. 80).
Have each pair present its interview to the class.
- Present the Estrategia de
comunicación (p. 81) in Atando cabos. Then have students work
in groups on their presentations.
- Announce the quiz on Lección 2
to be given during the next class and explain what material will be
covered.
ASSIGNMENT
- Study for the quiz on Lección

- Prepare presentations for Atando cabos

- Complete the Lecturas activities from
the FACETAS web site to be submitted electronically before class on Day
