IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Put students in groups of four and have them work through steps A & B of
    A conversar
    (p. 28).
  2. Debrief A conversar by having the groups report their results to the whole class (step 3, p. 28).
  3. Present the vocabulary list for the second reading Perfil: Carmen Lomas Garza (p. 37), modeling the Spanish words and expressions.
  4. Collect and correct students’ letters for A escribir (p. 29).
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Read Antes de leer and study the Vocabulario for Perfil: Carmen Lomas Garza (p. 37).
  2. Read Perfil: Carmen Lomas Garza (pp. 38–39) and prepare the Después de leer activities (p. 40) for the next class. Do exercise 5 in writing.
  3. Continue preparing the Lecturas activities from the FACETAS web site to be submitted electronically by the end of class on Day 9.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
  1. Read the Lectura section in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual and do the corresponding activities.
