IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Review Estructura 12.2 by providing students with a noun, an infinitive, and a tense and having them construct a sentence in the indicated tense.
- Have students begin Comunicación activity 5 for Estructura 12.2 individually, then work in pairs. Put students in pairs for activity 6 and in small groups for activity 7.
- Work through the Práctica activities for Estructura 12.3 with the class. Ask students to explain their choice of mood and tense for each sentence.
- Have students work in small groups and read the Enfoques selection Culturas precolombinas together.
- Ask students the comprehension questions found in the Additional Teaching Suggestions of the Instructor Resource Manual for this Enfoques selection.
- Have students discuss the Coméntalo questions. Encourage them to expand on their answers using the knowledge gained from doing the ENFOQUES CD-ROM Enfoques activities.
ASSIGNMENT
- Refine the reasons for your event order for Comunicación activity 5 for Estructura 12.2 and add any events that you feel are of similar importance.
- Expand the dialog for Comunicación activity 6 for Estructura 12.2 by having the visitor to the fortune-teller be a famous person. Finalize the dialog and be prepared to present it to the class.
- In preparation for A converser, make a list of everything you write during the course of a day.
- Read and prepare A conversar for discussion during the next class. Prepare steps A & B in writing.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
- Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 12.1 and 12.2 on the ENFOQUES CD-ROM.
