IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
Present the vocabulary list for Perfil: Malintzin, modeling the Spanish words and expressions. Present the profile on Malintzin and discuss the Conexión personal questions in Antes de leer with the class.
Ask students to tell you about Malintzin. Ask them about the different names she was known by and how they interpret her role.
Work through Después de leer activity 1 for Perfil: Malintzin with the class. Put students in small groups and have them do Después de leer activity 2 for Perfil: Malintzin. Have them work on activity 3 in pairs.
Present the Estrategia de comunicación in Atando cabos. Then have students work in groups on their presentations.
Announce the quiz on Lección 12 to be given during the next class and explain what material will be covered.
Collect and correct the compositions students wrote for Después de leer activity 4 for Perfil: Malintzin.
ASSIGNMENT
Finalize the dialogs written for Después de leer activity 3 for Perfil: Malintzin. Be prepared to present them to the class.
Study for the quiz on Lección 12.
Prepare presentations for Atando cabos for the next class.
Complete the Lecturasactivity from the ENFOQUES web site to be submitted electronically before the next class.
