IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Have students work in small groups to write a paragraph describing one of the situations depicted in Práctica y Comunicación activity 3 for Estructura 10.4. Describe what happened before the event in the illustration and what would have happened if certain events had been different. Have each group read its paragraph to the class.
  2. Present the painting and quote on the Lecturas section opener. Present the vocabulary list for Continuidad de los parques, modeling the Spanish words and expressions.
  3. Discuss with the class the Conexión personal questions in Antes de leer for Continuidad de los parques. Encourage students to use the vocabulary just presented.
  4. Read the first paragraph of Continuidad de los parques with students. Make sure that students understand the setting and what is taking place.
  5. Collect and correct the stories students wrote for A escribir.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Read Antes de leer for Continuidad de los parques.
  2. Study the Vocabulario for Continuidad de los parques.
  3. Read Continuidad de los parques.
  4. Prepare the Después de leer activities for Continuidad de los parques for the next class. Do activity 3, item 2, and activity 4 in writing.
  5. Go to the ENFOQUES web site and prepare the Lecturas activity to be submitted electronically before class on Day 11.
