IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
Present the vocabulary list, modeling the Spanish words and expressions.
Present the profile on Wifredo Lam and have students discuss the Conexión personal questions in Antes de leer in pairs.Ask for volunteers to tell the class about their favorite Hispanic artist and to show examples of his/her work.
Ask students to tell you about Wifredo Lam. Ask them about his involvement in the Spanish Civil War and what his opinion was of the Batista regime in Cuba.
Work through Después de leer activity 1 for Perfil: Wifredo Lam with the class. Put students in pairs and have them do Después de leer activities 2 and 3 for Perfil: Wifredo Lam.
Present the Estrategia de comunicación in Atando cabos. Then have students work in groups on their presentations.
Announce the quiz on Lección 10 to be given during the next class and explain what material will be covered.
ASSIGNMENT
Study for the quiz on Lección 10.
Prepare presentations for Atando cabos for the next class.
Complete the Lecturasactivity from the ENFOQUES web site to be submitted electronically before the next class.
