(14 days, including 1 for testing. Each class = 50 minutes.)

IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Have students read aloud the scenes they wrote for Comunicación activity 4 for Estructura 9.3 as other students act out the scenes. Have students read their scenes twice so the “actors” have time to prepare.
  2. Have students read aloud the descriptions they wrote for Práctica y Comunicación activity 3 for Estructura 9.4. The class will guess who is being described.
  3. Put students in small groups and complete A conversar.
  4. Debrief A conversar by having the groups present their opinions to the class.
  5. Present A escribir, making sure students understand the Plan de redacción.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Write an original piece of news (weather report, sports story, gossip column, etc.). Use both infinitive and subjunctive constructions.
  2. Prepare A escribir, to be handed in at the next class.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
  1. Prepare the Composición section in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual and do the corresponding activities.
