Day 4

IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Have students present their dialogs for Ampliación activity 6 for Fotonovela.
  2. Review Estructura 9.1 and put students in pairs to complete the Comunicación activities. Extend the activities using the suggestions in the annos in the IAE.
  3. Work through the Práctica activities for Estructura 9.2 with the class.
  4. Present Estructura 9.3.
  5. Read the Enfoques selection on Pedro, el escamoso with the class. Ask students if they have ever watched a telenovela. How do they think Hispanic telenovelas compare to U.S. soap operas?
  6. Ask students the comprehension questions found in the Additional Teaching Suggestions of the Instructor Resource Manual for this Enfoques selection.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Study Estructura 9.3.
  2. Prepare the Práctica activities for Estructura 9.3 for oral work during the next class.
  3. Read the second Enfoques selection and be prepared to discuss the Coméntalo questions.
  4. Go to the ENFOQUES web site, prepare the corresponding activity for the second Enfoques selection, and submit it electronically before the next class.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
  1. Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 9.3 in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual.
  2. Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 9.3 in the lab manual section of the Student Activities Manual in conjunction with the Lab Audio CD or MP3 Files Audio CD-ROM.
  3. Do the corresponding Enfoques activity on the ENFOQUES CD-ROM.
