IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Review Expresiones útiles by asking students questions using the expressions.
- Follow the anno to review verbs like gustar and how they function. Work through Ampliación activity 4 for Fotonovela with the class. Have students do activity 5 in pairs and activity 6 in small groups.
- Work through the Práctica activities for Estructura 9.1 with the class. Follow the anno in the IAE to extend activity 3.
- Present Estructura 9.2. Follow the suggestions in the IAE to review irregular past participles and verbs that convey uncertainty.
- Present Enfoques. Focus students’ attention on the lead-ins to each reading, elicit their knowledge of the topics, and have them describe the photographs.
ASSIGNMENT
- Write a dialog based on the telenovela created for Ampliación activity 6 for Fotonovela. Be prepared to present the dialogs to the class.
- Study Estructura 9.2.
- Prepare the Práctica activities for Estructura 9.2 for oral work during the next class.
- Read the first Enfoques selection.
- Go to the ENFOQUES web site, prepare the corresponding activity for the first Enfoques selection, and submit it electronically before the next class.

- Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 9.2 in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual.
