IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Present the vocabulary list for Perfil: Carmen Maura, modeling the Spanish words and expressions.
  2. Put students in pairs and have them discuss Conexión personal.
  3. Show the video El milagro again and work through Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity 5 with the class. Replay any portions of the video needed to decide on answers.
  4. Put students in pairs to discuss Videoteca Después de ver el corto activities 4 and 6. As a class, discuss the various ideas for the theme of El milagro and decide on the principal theme and discuss interpretations of the ending of the video.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Complete the Lecturas activity from the ENFOQUES web site to be submitted electronically before the next class.
  2. Search on the Internet or use the library for information on the Franco dictatorship in Spain and the transition to democracy. This information will be used during the next class.
  3. Study the Vocabulario for Perfil: Carmen Maura.
  4. Read Contexto cultural and Perfil: Carmen Maura.
  5. Prepare the Después de leer activities for Perfil: Carmen Maura for the next class.
  6. Prepare Videoteca Después de ver el corto activities 7, 8, and 9. Do activity 7 in writing.
