IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Ask students to tell you about Carolina Herrera’s life.
  2. Follow the suggestions in the anno in the IAE to have students describe the fashion trends of the last century and to link fashions to social changes.
  3. Work through Después de leer activities 1 and 2 for Perfil: Carolina Herrera with the class. Follow the suggestion in the anno in the IAE to have students think about Carolina Herrera’s social status and its role in her success as a designer.
  4. Put students in small groups for Después de leer activity 3 for Perfil: Carolina Herrera and in pairs for activity 4.
  5. Show the video Correo celestial again and have students work in pairs to complete Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity 7. Have them start preparing activity 8.
  6. Present the Estrategia de comunicación in Atando cabos. Then have students work in groups on their presentations.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Finalize Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity 8 and be prepared to present your version of the ending for the class on Day 14.
  2. Have groups prepare their Atando cabos presentations for the next class.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
  1. Review the Vocabulario for Lección 7 by having students create sentences about each of the listed professions, using at least two other vocabulary items in each sentence.
