Day 5

IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Review Estructura 5.2 and work through Comunicación activity 4 with the class. Follow the anno in the IAE to expand the activity. Put students in pairs for activities 5 and 6. Remind them of the spelling changes for –car and –gar verbs (see anno in the IAE).
  2. Work through the Práctica activities for Estructura 5.3 with the class.
  3. Present Estructura 5.4.
  4. Have students work in small groups and read the Enfoques selection “Lo último” en el gimnasio together.
  5. Ask students the comprehension questions found in the Additional Teaching Suggestions of the Instructor Resource Manual for this Enfoques selection.
  6. Have students discuss the Coméntalo questions. Encourage them to expand on their answers using the knowledge gained from doing the ENFOQUES CD-ROM Enfoques activities.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Study Estructura 5.4.
  2. Prepare the Práctica activities for Estructura 5.4 for oral work during the next class.
  3. Read through the A conversar section and prepare step B in writing for use in the next class.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
  1. Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 5.4 in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual.
  2. Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 5.4 in the lab manual section of the Student Activities Manual in conjunction with the Lab Audio CD or MP3 Files Audio CD-ROM.
