IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Show the video, with sound. As a class, complete the Mientras ves el corto activities.
- Show the video again and have students correct the Mientras ves el corto activities.
- Work through Videoteca Después de ver el corto activities 4, 5, and 6 with the class. Students will work in pairs for activity 5.
- Present the vocabulary list for Perfil: Alejandro Leal, modeling the Spanish words and expressions.
- Have students work through the Conexión personal questions for Perfil: Alejandro Leal in Antes de leer in small groups. Follow the anno in the IAE to discuss what the role of scientific research should be in global issues such as poverty and hunger.
ASSIGNMENT
- Complete the Lecturas activity from the ENFOQUES web site to be submitted electronically before the next class.
- Read Antes de leer and study Vocabulario for Perfil: Alejandro Leal.
- Read Perfil: Alejandro Leal and prepare the Después de leer activities for the next class. Do activity 4 in writing.
- Prepare Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity 7.
