IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Review Expresiones útiles (p. 91) by asking students questions using the expressions.
- Have students do the Ampliación activities for Fotonovela (p. 93) in class. They will work in groups of three for activities 4 and 6 and in pairs for activities 5 and 7.
- Work through Práctica activity 1 for Estructura 3.1 (p. 98) with the class. Have students do Práctica activity 2 (p. 98) in pairs. Complete Práctica activity 3 (p. 98) as a class activity.
- Present Estructura 3.2 (p. 100).
- Present Enfoques (pp. 94–95). Focus students’ attention on the lead-ins to each reading, elicit their knowledge of the topics, and have them describe the photographs.
ASSIGNMENT
- Study Estructura 3.2 (p. 100).
- Prepare Práctica y Comunicación activities 1 and 2 for Estructura 3.2 (p. 101) for oral work during the next class.
- Read the first Enfoques selection (p. 94).
- Go to the ENFOQUES web site, prepare the corresponding activity for the first Enfoques selection, and submit it electronically before the next class.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
- Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 3.2 in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual.
- Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 3.2 in the lab manual section of the Student Activities Manual in conjunction with the Lab Audio CD or MP3 Files Audio CD-ROM.
