IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Ask students what role they think the concept of anonymity may play in the video Adiós mamá.
  2. Show the video, with sound. Have students work in pairs to complete the Mientras ves el corto activities (p. 122).
  3. Show the video again and have students correct the Mientras ves el corto activities (p. 122).
  4. Present the vocabulary list for Perfil: Jorge Ramos (p. 117), modeling the Spanish words and expressions.
  5. Do the Conexión personal questions for Perfil: Jorge Ramos (p. 117) in Antes de leer with the class. Ask students to describe their preferred news anchors and to describe the ideal news anchor.
  6. Have students read and discuss the Contexto cultural (p. 117) in Antes de leer.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Complete the Lecturas activity from the ENFOQUES web site to be submitted electronically before the next class.
  2. Study Vocabulario for Perfil: Jorge Ramos (p. 117).
  3. Read Perfil: Jorge Ramos (pp. 118–119) and prepare the Después de leer activities (p. 120) for the next class.
  4. Prepare Videoteca Después de ver el corto activities 4, 5, and 6 (p. 123). Do activity 6 in writing.
