IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Review Expresiones útiles (p. 51) by asking students questions using the expressions.
- Have students do the Ampliación activities for Fotonovela (p. 53) in class. Students will work in pairs for activities 5 and 6 and in small groups for activity 7.
- Work through Práctica activity 1 for Estructura 2.1 (p. 58) with the class. Have students do Práctica activity 2 (p. 58) in pairs.
- Present Estructura 2.2 (pp. 60–61).
- Present Enfoques (pp. 54–55). Focus students’ attention on the lead-ins to each reading, elicit their knowledge of the topics, and have them describe the photographs.
ASSIGNMENT
- Study Estructura 2.2 (pp. 60–61).
- Prepare the Práctica activities for Estructura 2.2 (p. 62) for oral work during the next class. Do activity 2 in writing.
- Read the first Enfoques selection (p. 54).
- Go to the ENFOQUES web site, prepare the corresponding activity for the first Enfoques selection, and submit it electronically before the next class.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
- Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 2.2 in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual.
- Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 2.2 in the lab manual section of the Student Activities Manual in conjunction with the Lab Audio CD or MP3 Files Audio CD-ROM.
