IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Review Estructura 1.4 (pp. 26–27) by asking students to explain the different uses of ser and estar.
  2. Collect students’ written paragraphs describing the meeting of the personalities depicted in Comunicación activity 3 for Estructura 1.4 (p. 29) and correct them while students work in pairs.
  3. Have students do the Comunicación activity for Estructura 1.4 (p. 29) in pairs and then have each pair present its interview to the whole class.
  4. Debrief A conversar by having the groups report their results to the whole class (step C, p. 30).
  5. Present A escribir (p. 31), making sure students understand the Plan de redacción.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Prepare A escribir (p. 31), to be handed in at the next class.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
  1. Prepare the Composición section in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual and do the corresponding activities.
