IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Review Estructura 1.1 (pp. 12–15) and have students do the Comunicación activities for Estructura 1.1 (p. 17) in pairs.
- Work through the Práctica activities for Estructura 1.2 (p. 20) with the class. Have students exchange papers and correct each other’s written answers to activity 1.
- Present Estructura 1.3 (pp. 22–23).
- Read the Enfoques selection México D.F., una megametrópolis (p. 10) with the class. Have students discuss what they know of Mexico’s capital city.
- Ask students the comprehension questions found in the Additional Teaching Suggestions of the Instructor Resource Manual for this Enfoques selection.
ASSIGNMENT
- Study Estructura 1.3 (pp. 22–23).
- Prepare the Práctica activities for Estructura 1.3 (p. 24) for oral work during the next class.
- Read the second Enfoques selection (p. 11) and be prepared to discuss the Coméntalo questions.
- Go to the ENFOQUES web site, prepare the corresponding activity for the second Enfoques selection, and submit it electronically before the next class.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
- Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 1.3 in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual.
- Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 1.3 in the lab manual section of the Student Activities Manual in conjunction with the Lab Audio CD or MP3 Files Audio CD-ROM.
- Do the corresponding Enfoques activity on the ENFOQUES CD-ROM.
