IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Review Expresiones útiles (p. 7) by asking students questions using the expressions.
- Have students do the Ampliación activities for Fotonovela (p. 9) in class. Put students in pairs for activity 4.
- Have students do Práctica activity 1 for Estructura 1.1 (p. 16) in pairs. Work through Práctica activities 2 and 3 (p. 16) with the class.
- Present Estructura 1.2 (pp. 18–19).
- Present Enfoques (pp. 10–11). Focus students’ attention on the lead-ins to each reading, elicit their knowledge of the topics, and have them describe the photographs.
ASSIGNMENT
- Study Estructura 1.2 (pp. 18–19).
- Prepare the Práctica activities for Estructura 1.2 (p. 20) for oral work during the next class. Do activity 1 in writing.
- Read the first Enfoques selection (p. 10).
- Go to the ENFOQUES web site, prepare the corresponding activity for the first Enfoques selection, and submit it electronically before the next class.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
- Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 1.2 in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual.
- Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 1.2 in the lab manual section of the Student Activities Manual in conjunction with the Lab Audio CD or MP3 Files Audio CD-ROM.
