IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Ask students to tell you about Carmen Lomas Garza and her work.
- Work through Después de leer activities 1, 2 and 3 for Perfil: Carmen Lomas Garza (p. 40) with the class. Have students do Después de leer activity 4 (p. 40) in pairs.
- Show the video Momentos de estación again and have students complete Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity 4 (p. 43) in groups of three.
- Present the Estrategia de comunicación (p. 41) in Atando cabos. Then have students work in groups on their presentations.
- Collect and correct the paragraphs students wrote for Después de leer activity 5 for Perfil: Carmen Lomas Garza (p. 40) and for Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity 3 (p. 43).
ASSIGNMENT
- Prepare Videoteca Después de ver el corto activities 5 and 6 (p. 43) for Day 14.
- Have groups prepare their Atando cabos presentations (p. 41) for the next class.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
- Review the Vocabulario for Lección 1 (p. 44) by creating sentences, with each sentence using at least one of the verbs and one of the adjectives.
