IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
Direct students’ attention to Sobre el autor. Follow the suggestion in the anno in the IAE to discuss the author’s name.
Ask students whether the ending was a surprise or not. Have them list the details that made the surprise ending logical and a consistent outcome (Análisis literario) or the details and conventions that helped them predict the ending (Estrategia de lectura).
Work through Después de leer activities 1 and 2 for Primer encuentro with the class. Put students in small groups for activity 3 and in pairs for activity 4. Follow the suggestions in the annos in the IAE to expand activities 2 and 4.
ASSIGNMENT
Finalize the conversations created for Después de leer activity 4 for Primer encuentro. Be prepared to present the conversations to the class.
Study Estructura 11.3.
Prepare the Práctica and Comunicación activities for Estructura 11.3 for oral work during the next class. Do activity 2 of Práctica in writing.
Complete the activities for Enfoques from the ENFOQUES web site, to be submitted electronically before the next class.
