Day 6

IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Put students in groups of four to go over steps A & B of A conversar.
  2. Put students in small groups and complete A conversar.
  3. Debrief A conversar by having the groups present their opinions to the class.
  4. Present the vocabulary list for Perfil: Carmen Maura, modeling the Spanish words and expressions. Put students in pairs and have them discuss Conexión personal for Perfil: Carmen Maura in Antes de leer.
  5. Collect and correct the book reviews that students wrote for A escribir.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Read Antes de leer and study the Vocabulario for Perfil: Carmen Maura.
  2. Read Perfil: Carmen Maura and prepare the Después de leer activities for the next class.
  3. Search on the Internet or use the library for information on the Franco dictatorship in Spain and the transition to democracy. This information will be used during the next class.
  4. Continue preparing the Lecturas activities from the ENFOQUES web site to be submitted electronically before class on Day 9.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
  1. Read the Lectura section in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual and do the corresponding activities.
