IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Warm up the class by asking personal questions that review the grammar and vocabulary of Lección 8.
- Work through Práctica y Comunicación activity 1 for Estructura 8.3 with the class. Have students do activity 2 in pairs. Follow the suggestions in the annos in the IAE to extend the activities.
- Work through Práctica y Comunicación activities 1 and 2 for Estructura 8.4 with the class. Put students in pairs for activity 3. Ask students for their opinions on the two points of view presented in activity 1. For activity 2, have students rewrite the sentences replacing sino with sino que and vice versa.
- Collect and correct the speeches students wrote for Después de leer activity 4 for Dos palabras.
ASSIGNMENT
- Read through the A conversar section and prepare steps A & B for use in the next class. Do step B in writing.
- Read and prepare A escribir.
- Continue preparing the Lecturas activities from the ENFOQUES web site to be submitted electronically before class on Day 8.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
- Do the exercises for Estructura 8.3 and Estructura 8.4 on the ENFOQUES CD-ROM.
- Prepare the Escritura section on the ENFOQUES CD-ROM.
