IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Review the lesson vocabulary by going over students’ vocabulary definitions.
- Discuss the Enfoques readings with students. Ask students the comprehension questions found in the Additional Teaching Suggestions of the Instructor Resource Manual. Have students discuss the Coméntalo questions. Encourage them to expand on their answers using the knowledge gained from doing the ENFOQUES CD-ROM Enfoques activities.
- Go through Fotonovela and Expresiones útiles. Have students summarize the video episode and express their reactions to it.
- Do the Comprensión activities for Fotonovela with the class. Students will work in small groups for activity 4.
- Have students do the Ampliación activities for Fotonovela in class. Students will work in pairs for activity 5.
ASSIGNMENT
- Study Expresiones útiles.
- Study Estructura 4.1 and Estructura 4.2.
- Prepare the Práctica and Comunicación activities for Estructura 4.1 and Estructura 4.2 for oral work during the next class. Do activity 5 in Comunicación for Estructura 4.2 in writing.
- Continue preparing the activities for Enfoques from the ENFOQUES web site, to be submitted electronically before class on Day 5.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
- Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 4.1 and Estructura 4.2 in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual.
- Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 4.1 and Estructura 4.2 in the lab manual section of the Student Activities Manual in conjunction with the Lab Audio CD or MP3 Files Audio CD-ROM.
- Do the corresponding Fotonovela activities on the ENFOQUES CD-ROM.
