IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Warm up the class by asking students how they think Neruda’s depiction of love in Poema 20 (pp. 34–35) compares to the encounter in the video Momentos de estación.
  2. Show the video again. Have students complete the Mientras ves el corto activity (p. 42).
  3. Put students in groups of three. Have them peer review each other’s paragraph for Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity 3 (p. 43), in the process clarifying their knowledge of the story presented in the video. When students are clear on the story, have them move on to activity 4 (p. 43).
  4. Show the video Momentos de estación for the final time.
  5. Put students in pairs and have them prepare their own scene inspired by the video. They may use Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity 5 or 6 (p. 43) as the basis for their scene.
  6. Announce the quiz on Lección 1 to be given during the next class and explain what material will be covered.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Study for the quiz on Lección 1.
  2. Prepare scenes inspired by the video for presentation to the class.

  1. Provide students with the Práctica exercises from the Additional Activities found in the Instructor’s Resource Manual.
