IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Put students in groups of four and have them work through steps A & B of A conversar (p. 30).
- Debrief A conversar by having the groups report their results to the whole class (step 3, p. 30).
- Present the vocabulary list for the second reading, Perfil: Carmen Lomas Garza (p. 37), modeling the Spanish words and expressions.
- Collect and correct students’ letters for A escribir (p. 31).
ASSIGNMENT
- Read Antes de leer and study the Vocabulario for Perfil: Carmen Lomas Garza (p. 37).
- Read Perfil: Carmen Lomas Garza (pp. 38–39) and prepare the Después de leer activities (p. 40) for the next class. Do exercise 5 in writing.
- Continue preparing the Lecturas activities from the ENFOQUES web site to be submitted electronically before class on Day 9.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
- Read the Lectura section in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual and do the corresponding activities.
