The En Internet box on page 149 of the Ampliación section in your textbook asks you to investigate famous stores and department stores, and currencies in Spanish-speaking countries. Use the Internet to find out more about tiendas y almacenes famosos and la moneda de los países hispanos by completing the following items.
  1. The department stores El Palacio de Hierro, Gran Morrison, and Éxito are located in:
    Mexico, Panama, and Colombia.
    Argentina, Colombia and Spain.
    Spain, Mexico, and Argentina.
    Argentina, Panama, and Colombia.

  2. Write the names of six different currencies in Spanish-speaking countries.



  3. Would you rather go shopping to el mercado (open-air market) or un gran almacén (department store)? Why?



  4. In Mexico City, what will you find at el Mercado de Ciudadela and el Monte de Piedad?



  5. Find three websites where you can shop on-line in Spanish-speaking places. List the names and the products they sell.
