ACTIVITIES
1. Present the Communicative
Goals for Lección 9. Use the lesson opener photo to orient
students to the topic of celebrations and personal relationships as suggested in PREVIEW in the IAE.
2. Introduce the
Preparación section by asking students about a party they went to
recently as described in SUGGESTION in the
IAE.
3. Present the vocabulary using
the Overhead Transparency and the illustrations and lists in the student text,
modeling correct pronunciation for student
repetition.
4. Using the verbs
divertirse and pasarlo bien, continue to engage students in
conversations about parties as suggested in SUGGESTION in the
IAE.
5. Go over the VARIACIÓN
LÉXICA in the IAE.
6. Have
students do A escuchar activities 1 and 2 in conjunction with the
Textbook Audio CD.
7. Have students do
A practicar activity 5 in pairs, then go over the answers with the class
as suggested in SUGGESTION in the
IAE.
ASSIGNMENT
