ACTIVITIES
1. Present the Communicative
Goals for Lección 6. Use the lesson opener photo to orient
students to the topic of shopping, as suggested in PREVIEW in the IAE.
2. Introduce
the Preparación section by asking questions on shopping
preferences as described in SUGGESTION in the
IAE.
3. Present the vocabulary using
the Overhead Transparency and the illustrations and lists in the student text,
modeling correct pronunciation for student
repetition.
4. Have students look at
the money from various countries and compare it with that of the U.S., as
suggested in SUGGESTION in the IAE.
5.
Go over the VARIACIÓN LÉXICA in the IAE in preparation for the
A escuchar activities.
6. Have
students do A escuchar activities 1 and 2 in conjunction with the
Textbook Audio CD.
7. Have students do
A practicar activity 3 in pairs and go over the answers in class as
suggested in EXPANSION in the IAE.

If there is time, have students indicate why a particular item does not belong
in A practicar activity 3 as suggested in EXPANSION in the
IAE.
