ACTIVITIES
1. Present the Communicative
Goals for Lección 5. Use the lesson opener photo to orient
students to the topic of vacationing and travel as suggested in PREVIEW in the IAE.
2. Introduce the
Preparación section by asking students how they prefer to travel
and where they want to go as described in SUGGESTION in the
IAE.
3. Present the vocabulary using
the Overhead Transparency and the illustrations and lists in the student text,
modeling correct pronunciation for student
repetition.
4. Play “20
Questions” with the months of the year as suggested in EXPANSION in the
IAE.
5. Go over the VARIACIÓN
LÉXICA in the IAE.
6. Have
students do A escuchar activities 1 and 2 in conjunction with the
Textbook Audio CD.
7. Have students do
A practicar activity 4 in pairs, asking individuals to share their
answers to the questions of personal preference as suggested in EXPANSION in the
IAE.
8. If there is time, have students
report on the preferences of their classmates as suggested in EXPANSION in the
IAE.
ASSIGNMENT
1.
Have students complete activity 3 from A practicar.
2. Have students prepare A
conversar activity 5 for the next class by preparing questions about each
illustration.

1. Have students complete the
