ACTIVITIES
1. Present the
Communicative Goals for Lección 4.
Use the lesson opener photo to orient students
to the topic of pastimes, weekend activities,
and sports as suggested in PREVIEW in the IAE.
2. Introduce
the Preparación section by asking
questions as described in SUGGESTION in the
IAE.
3. Present the
vocabulary using the Overhead Transparency and
the illustrations and lists in the student text,
modeling correct pronunciation for student repetition.
4. Narrate some
activities you want to do and have students
guess where you will go, as suggested in EXPANSION
in the IAE.
5. Go over the
VARIACIÓN LÉXICA in the IAE in
preparation for the A escuchar activities.
6. Have students
do A escuchar activities 1 and 2 in conjunction
with the Textbook Audio CD.
7. Have students
do A practicar activity 3 in pairs and
correct the false statements as suggested in
EXPANSION in the IAE.
8. If there is
time, have students describe the photos in A
practicar activity 3 as suggested in EXPANSION
in the IAE.
ASSIGNMENT
1. Have students
complete activities 4 and 5 from A practicar.
2. Have students
prepare A conversar activity 6 for the
next class.
