ACTIVITIES
1. Present the Communicative
Goals for Lección 3. Use the lesson opener photo to orient
students to the topic of family as suggested in PREVIEW in the IAE.
2. Introduce
the Preparación section by asking students who has a brother and
other family related questions as described in SUGGESTION in the
IAE.
3. Present the vocabulary using
the Overhead Transparency and the illustrations and lists in the student text,
modeling correct pronunciation for student
repetition.
4. Go over the
VARIACIÓN LÉXICA in the
IAE.
5. Ask students to name a
profession based on the definition you provide as suggested in SUGGESTION in the
IAE.
6. Have students do A
escuchar activities 1 and 2 in conjunction with the Textbook Audio
CD.
7. Have students do A
practicar activity 3 and ask students to provide additional examples for the
class to identify as suggested in EXPANSION in the
IAE.
8. If there is time, introduce
activity 4 by asking them questions about the photos and captions as suggested
in EXPANSION in the
IAE.
ASSIGNMENT
1.
Have students complete activity 4 from A practicar and ask them to bring
in pictures of people engaged in various activities as suggested in EXPANSION in
the IAE.
2. Have students prepare A
conversar activity 5 for the next class by writing and asking questions
about the family tree.
