Day 3

IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Review Expresiones útiles by asking students questions using the expressions.
  2. Put students in pairs for the Ampliación activities for Fotonovela. Students will work in small groups for activity 6.
  3. Work through the Práctica y Comunicación activities for Estructura 11.1 with the class. Students will work in small groups for activity 3.
  4. Present Estructura 11.2. Follow the suggestions in the IAE to review the conjugations of pedir, conocer, and saber.
  5. Present Exploración. Focus students’ attention on the lead-ins to each reading, elicit their knowledge of the topics, and have them describe the photographs.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Study Estructura 11.2.
  2. Prepare the Práctica y Comunicación activities for Estructura 11.2 for oral work during the next class.
  3. Read the first Exploración selection.
  4. Go to the VENTANAS web site, prepare the corresponding activity for the first Exploración selection, and submit it electronically before the next class.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
  1. Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 11.2 in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual.
  2. Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 11.2 in the lab manual section of the Student Activities Manual in conjunction with the Lab Audio CD or MP3 Files Audio CD-ROM.
