IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Have students work in small groups to write a
short story. The story must use the future perfect, the conditional perfect, the
past subjunctive, si clauses with compound tenses, and at least two
different ways of saying to become. Have each group read its story to the
class, and the class will select the most humorous, the most inventive, the most
surrealist, etc.
- Check comprehension of the
Actualidades reading by asking students about Buñuel, Dalí,
and Lorca.
- Put students in pairs to discuss the
Actualidades Después de leer questions. Ask each pair to summarize
its discussion for the
class.
ASSIGNMENT
- Prepare steps A–D of Manos a la
obra for use in class on Day 12.
- Study the Vocabulario.
- Write a paragraph describing one of the
situations depicted in Práctica y Comunicación activity 3
for Estructura 10.4. Describe what happened before the event in the
illustration and what would have happened if certain events had been
different.
- Actualidades refers to movies as the
Seventh Art. What do you think the first six arts are? TV has been called the
Eighth Art, and comic books the Ninth Art. What do you think the Tenth Art will
be? Prepare your answers in
writing.
