IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Review the Vocabulario for
Lección 8 by having students create campaign statements. Have
students create statements for a far right candidate, a far left candidate, a
pacifist, a militarist, a candidate who is trying to regain voters’
trust, etc. Encourage students to use constructions with se and
conjunctions.
- Put students in groups of three and have them
read and discuss each other’s paragraphs on the connections between
physical appearance and political success. Encourage students to use the grammar
and vocabulary from Lección 8 in their discussion.
- Have each group present the results of their
discussion to the class.
- Collect and correct students’
paragraphs.
ASSIGNMENT
- Review Fotonovela and imagine another
or alternate episode with these characters, using the vocabulary and grammar
presented in Lección 8. Replace Tere Zamora with a well-known U.S.
politician.
- Continue to prepare steps A & B of
Manos a la obra for Day
12.
