Lección 6 - Lengua: Quarter System
(12 days, including 1 for testing. Each class = 50 minutes.)

Day 9

IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Review the Vocabulario for Lección 6 by having students create sentences. Encourage students to use si clauses and the expression como si + past subjunctive.
  2. Put students in groups of three and have them read and discuss each other’s paragraphs on reducing harmful emissions or safeguarding the natural environment. Make sure that they ask questions so that they understand each other’s proposals and points of view. Encourage students to use the grammar and vocabulary from Lección 6 in their discussion.
  3. Have each student present another student’s proposals to the class, explaining that student’s point of view.
  4. Collect and correct students’ paragraphs.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Review Fotonovela and imagine another or alternate episode with these characters, using the vocabulary and grammar presented in Lección 6.
  2. Continue to prepare steps A & B of Manos a la obra for Day 12.

  1. Take the Quiz on the VENTANAS CD-ROM and review any problem areas.
