IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Put students in small groups. Review the uses of the subjunctive presented in Lección 5 by having one student choose a verb or expression from Estructura 5.1, 5.2, or 5.3; the other students must create a sentence using the verb and expression, followed by the subjunctive or indicative, as appropriate. Have students alternate roles.
  2. Discuss the questions in Actualidades Después de leer activity 1 with the class. Follow the anno in the IAE to have students present their new last frame of the strip and have the class guess what the text might say.
  3. Put students in small groups and have them complete Actualidades Después de leer activity 2.
  4. Collect and correct students’ alternate endings, which they wrote for Actualidades Después de leer activity 1.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Read Manos a la obra and prepare step B in writing for use in class on Day 12.
  2. Study the Vocabulario.
