IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Review Estructura 5.1 and work through
the Comunicación activities for Estructura 5.1 with the
class. Students will work in pairs for activity 4.
- Work through the Práctica
activities for Estructura 5.2 with the class.
- Present Estructura 5.3. Follow the
anno in the IAE to point out that, unlike in English, the present progressive is
not used after adverbs such as antes and
después.
- Read the Exploración selection
on chocolate with the class. Ask students what they knew of chocolate. Are there
any “new” foods that have become popular during their
lifetimes?
- Ask students the comprehension questions
found in the Additional Teaching Suggestions of the Instructor Resource Manual
for this Exploración
selection.
ASSIGNMENT
- Study Estructura 5.3.
- Prepare the Práctica activities
for Estructura 5.3 for oral work during the next class.
- Read the second Exploración
selection and be prepared to discuss the Coméntalo
questions.
- Go to the VENTANAS web site, prepare
the corresponding activity for the second Exploración selection,
and submit it electronically before the next
class.
