IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Review Estructura 4.2 and work through Comunicación activity 4 with the class. For activity 5, have students exchange papers and peer correct each other’s narration. Then ask for volunteers to read their narration aloud.
  2. Work through Práctica activities 1 and 2 for Estructura 4.3 with the class. Have students do Práctica activity 3 in pairs. Then follow the anno in the IAE to have students generate a class account of the worst possible trip.
  3. Present Estructura 4.4.
  4. Have students work in small groups and read the Exploración selection Algunos medios de transporte en Hispanoamérica together.
  5. Ask students the comprehension questions found in the Additional Teaching Suggestions of the Instructor Resource Manual for this Exploración selection.
  6. Have students discuss the Coméntalo questions. Encourage them to describe their own experiences that relate to these issues. Have each group present their responses to the questions to the class.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Study Estructura 4.4.
  2. Prepare the Práctica activities for Estructura 4.4 for oral work during the next class.
  3. Read through the A conversar section and prepare steps A & B in writing for use in the next class.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS
  1. Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 4.4 in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual.
  2. Do the corresponding exercises for Estructura 4.4 in the lab manual section of the Student Activities Manual in conjunction with the Lab Audio CD or MP3 Files Audio CD-ROM.
