IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Have students work in small groups to prepare
questions and answers about past events (from childhood, high school, last year,
last week...). Remind students to use the preterite or imperfect tense, as
appropriate. Encourage them to use adverbs and adverbial expressions. Have the
various groups interview each other using the questions they have
prepared.
- Check comprehension of the
Actualidades reading (pp. 92–93) by asking students about the
product being advertised and what role it plays in the lives of Mili and
Sergio.
- Work through Después de leer
question 1 (p. 93) with the class. Expand the discussion by asking students to
describe the types of people they would expect to see in ads for other products,
such as cars, shampoo, or the latest technological
gadget.
