ACTIVITIES
- Review Estructura
1.4 (pp. 26–27) by asking students to
explain the different uses of ser and estar.
- Collect students’
written paragraphs describing the meeting of the
personalities depicted in Comunicación
exercise 3 for Estructura 1.4 (p. 29) and
correct them while students work in pairs.
- Have students do
the Comunicación activity for Estructura
1.4 (p. 29) in pairs and then have each pair
present its interview to the whole class.
- Debrief A conversar
by having the groups report their results to the
whole class (step C, p. 30).
- Preview Actualidades
(pp. 32–33), going over Antes de leer (p.
32) and starting to have students read the comic
strip aloud in class.
ASSIGNMENT
- Read Actualidades
(pp. 32–33) and be prepared to answer
#1 of Después de leer (p. 33).
- Go to the VENTANAS
web site, prepare the Actualidades activity,
and submit it electronically before the next class.
ADDITIONAL
PRACTICE OPTIONS
- Prepare
the Composición section in the workbook
section of the Student Activities Manual and do
the corresponding activities.
