IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Warm up the class by asking questions using the vocabulary presented on p. 317 and p. 321.
  2. Direct students’ attention to Sobre el autor. Ask students to what period of Peri Rossi’s career El prócer belongs.
  3. Work through Después de leer activities 1 and 2 for El prócer with the class. Follow the anno in the IAE to have students analyze whether the hero or the student represents the author’s voice.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Reread El prócer.
  2. Prepare Después de leer activity 3 for El prócer for the next class.
  3. Continue preparing the Literatura activity from the VENTANAS web site to be submitted electronically before class on Day 6.
