IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
Have students present the conversations they
prepared for Después de leer activity 4 for Primer
encuentro.
Discuss the Conexión personal
questions with the class. Follow the suggestion in the anno in the IAE to ask
students to consider how science fiction might vary from one society to
another.
Direct students’ attention to Sobre
el autor. Ask them how they would classify Lorena X301: Do they see
fantastic elements? Is the story typical science fiction?
Have students summarize Part I of the story.
Who are the characters and what is their relationship? How have advances in
technology affected human life and society? (Refer to Análisis
literario.) What do students predict will happen in the story and
why?
Present the Videoteca section. Model
the Spanish words and expressions in Vocabulario. Play the video without
sound. Ask students how they think the video relates to the lesson
theme.
