Day 4

IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Warm up the class by asking question using the vocabulary presented on p. 223 for Tiempo libre, p. 227 for La indiferencia de Eva, and p. 256 for El milagro.
  2. Work through Después de leer activities 1 and 2 for La indiferencia de Eva with the class. Follow the suggestion in the anno in the IAE to ask students how Eva manipulated the narrator.
  3. Put students in pairs for Después de leer activity 3 for La indiferencia de Eva. Ask each pair to share their ending with the class.
  4. Discuss with students how a woman writing from a man’s perspective impacts the text. See the anno in the IAE on p. 228.
  5. Have students discuss Antes de ver el corto in pairs.
  6. Collect and correct the paragraphs students wrote for Después de leer activity 4 for La indiferencia de Eva.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Read Atando cabos and prepare step 1 in writing.
  2. Continue preparing the Literatura activity from the VENTANAS web site to be submitted electronically before class on Day 6.
