Put students in pairs to complete the table
in Conexión personal. Have each pair discuss their results with
the class.
Direct students’ attention to Sobre
el autor. Ask them what role solitude plays in the lives of the characters
in La indiferencia de Eva.
Have students summarize the story through
line 143. Ask them to describe the narrator and Eva. What kind of people are
they? What do they think of each other? (Refer to Análisis
literario.)
Present the Videoteca section. Model
the Spanish words and expressions in Vocabulario. Play the video without
sound. Ask students how they think the video relates to the lesson
theme.
ASSIGNMENT
Finish reading La indiferencia de
Eva.
Prepare the Después de leer
activities for La indiferencia de Eva for the next class. Do activity 4
in writing.
Study the VideotecaVocabulario.
Prepare Antes de ver el corto for oral
work during the next class.
