IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Warm up the class by asking students how they
would apply the concept of solidarity, as seen in Vallejo’s Masa,
to Allende’s Dos palabras.
- Put students in pairs to discuss Atando
cabos step1. Have each pair present the results of its discussion to the
class.
- Present Atando cabos step 2. Have
students follow the Plan de redacción to write their
article.
- Ask for volunteers to read aloud their
articles to the class. Ask students whether each article has fantastic details,
realist details, or some combination of the two.
- Collect and correct the speeches students
wrote for Después de leer activity 4 for Dos
palabras.
ASSIGNMENT
- Revise the article written for Atando
cabos step 2.
- Examine the painting and quote on the
Cultura section opener. Write a short paragraph interpreting
either the picture or the
quote.
